Allenstown State School has specialist teachers in Music, Physical Education, Health and Language and all students are encouraged to participate in these subjects as well as a variety of other Extra Curriculum activities.
Sport
The school encourages participation, enjoyment and skill development in regular physical activity by creating sports programs that meet the needs of all students. Students in Years 5-6 participate in Interschool Sports Programs and many of our teams have competed in the Regional Shield and been successful in various sports bringing home many trophies and awards.

Physical Education
During Term 1 and 4 (in the warmer months) students participate in swimming lessons. Allenstown State School is fortunate enough to have its own swimming pool on the school campus. During Term 2 and 3, Physical Education lessons are held on the school oval.
Interhouse/District Athletics
All students are encouraged to participate in the Interhouse Sports Carnival held annually and some students are then chosen to represent the school in the District Athletics Carnival. A number of students have gone on to be chosen in Capricornia athletics teams.
Swimming carnival
The Interhouse Swimming Carnival is held annually and is offered in Term 4.
Music
Allenstown State School provides opportunities for students to engage in activities which support and enhance the curriculum in the area of Music. All students attend regular music classes and students interested in Instrumental Music can learn to play band and orchestral instruments in small groups and participate in larger ensembles, such as the Combined Schools Concert, Chamber Ensemble performance and Eisteddfod.
